Hahaha. I really like that picture. Anyways, the essay drove me crazy. At first I thought it would be the easiest thing in the world to write, but I soon figured out that after three paragraphs I had nothing to say. I really enjoy writing and try to find the good parts in every assignment, but this was a little ridiculous. Ironically, I had ended up calling my parents to help me out. My dad is extremely opinionated about practically everything and my mom subs in the attendance office at my high school sometimes, so she knows the crazy parent horror stories. In the end, it didn't help much, but it did give me a few ideas.
I like writing based on experience and things that I know. If I don't know it, I try to learn about it. So I though that if I read as many articles as I could for this essay it would help me some. It didn't. I read the same thing over and over and ended up putting a lot of fluff into my paper. I don't like fluff much. I'd rather write something that I feel is WORTH reading. I worked harder on my research than I probably needed to. I think I read through several Google pages before I checked the library's database. Note to self: next time, start with the library database. Other than that, I think the only thing I learned was how to cite sources properly. That should be useful, eventually.

I thought the essay would be easy too. I thought that I would be able to find my sources ahead of time and write me essay all in one day. Bur of course, I was dead wrong. It was hard for me to do my research because I did not know how to search for scholarly journals. I did not know how to navigate through our library’s website either. So it was very difficult for me when it came down to developing my thesis. I was not sure on which side I should be on. That is why I needed the scholarly articles to give me ideas on how I should develop my thesis. I went to the professor for help with the research and she showed me how to look up the scholarly articles on the library’s website. It was easier to write the essay once I got some articles to read. Then the words just seem to flow when I wrote my essay.
